As an initiator of the Credibility Alliance (a consortium of voluntary organizations and networks which has come together to enhance good governance in the voluntary sector), GIVE has made these a part of its criteria for selection.

We are a volunteer run organization and we cover our own overheads. We ensure that 100% of your contribution shall be used for the cause you have suggested. In the rare event that this is not possible for whatever reason, you will be informed.

What we want to achieve
Charity is generally sporadic giving by donors when a foundation or non-profit institution approaches them. We aim to make 'giving' a sustained commitment by fostering a relationship between charities and their donors. Along the way, we will answer questions like
"Will my donation reach its destination?"
"How was my contribution used?"
"How can I make my contribution more effective?"
Shahjahan Foundation is working to promote the cause of giving by answering the above questions and making charity more than a 1 way street: we close the loop between donors and charities. Not only do donors contribute to charities, but we help charities give feedback and information to donors. |
